Big 500

So, 500 entries later, has this blog been useful?

Well, for me it has. Writing three entries each week has forced me to read a lot, think a lot, and talk to a lot of people. I've learned more about leadership in general and creative industries in particular, and I've reshaped my thinking about leadership based on what I've learned. During 2009, when I adapted this blog into a column for the Washington Business Journal, I learned a thing or two about deadlines and editorial style. So for me, it's been educational.

A few folks have told me about lessons they've learned that they've used in their own jobs, and about how what's written here relates to their workplace (like a Dilbert cartoon, just less funny). That's always good to hear.

So anyway, thanks for reading, and if you've found this helpful, I'm glad. And don't worry, despite the big changes all the Leading Creatives folks are experiencing this fall and winter, we're going to keep it up.
